    I like how you provide so much practical guidance for managers in responding to conflict.

    I am interested that you refer to yourself as a ‘mediator’. My understanding of mediation is that it aims to arrive at an agreement between people who are in conflict. The process you describe aims for much more. It aims to arrive at a better relationship between the parties — to resolve the conflict.

    How do you see the difference between ‘mediation’ and ‘conflict resolution’?
