About the workshops:

In this workshop you will have a taste of the method of psychodrama, some of you for the first time.  It will be a gentle introduction to the philosophy and methods developed by Dr J L Moreno and furthered by practitioners in psychodrama associations worldwide.

Psychodrama  is a generic term which includes the experiential methods of psychodrama, sociodrama, sociometry, role training and spontaneity training. Psychodrama is used for group leadership and facilitation for personal development, organisational development, professional training and has a place in the creative arts.

The vision of psychodrama is to assist all human beings to express themselves responsibly and creatively in the ordinary situations in which they live and work. This work, when properly undertaken, enables people to bring into consciousness a greater sense of who they are and the unique purpose that each one has on this earth.  These methods help us to see who we truly are, enhance our capacity to relate to others, build self-acceptance and greater self-awareness.

The Nelson Centre for Experiential Learning & Development, run by qualified trainers Claire Guy and Cher Williscroft (TEP), provides a training programme that leads to certification in one of the four Psychodrama specialities (Clinical Psychodrama, Sociodrama, Sociometry and Role Training).
